Get your mountain gear ready, we’re heading to the Himalayas! Created in partnership with AZA’s SAFE Saving Animals From Extinction Red Panda and Red Panda Network, each tracking bracelet unlocks an interactive map and helps Fahlo support red panda conservation in Nepal.

The radio telemetry relies on the very high frequency (VHF) signals emitted by the transmitter attached to the collar, which need to be tracked manually using an antenna. The researchers have to be on the ground to locate their frequencies. On the other hand, GPS telemetry uses satellite systems to record locations at certain intervals, which can be tracked remotely without being in the field.
